We had an amazing time exploring Swellendam and chilling at the splash pool. The WiFi was on point, so we could totally stay connected with our friends. And let's not forget the awesome braai we had! Each room having its own bathroom was a major bonus. Best place for a rad teenage getaway!
The only thing we wished for was a bigger sound system in the cottage. We wanted to pump up the volume and have a sick party, but the speakers didn't quite cut it.

We had a wonderful stay at the self-catering cottage. The location was perfect, with easy access to shops and restaurants. The cottage was spacious and very clean, with comfortable beds. The staff provided a nice touch by presenting the towels with flowers on top. We enjoyed the lovely sunset views from the unused area above, and the splash pool was a great addition for cooling off. excellent value for money and we would definitely come back.
The check-in procedure was a bit of a hassle.

Lovely house with a splash pool that was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we needed. The beds were comfortable and the cottages had a serene landscaping and great location. We also enjoyed the outside braai area at cottage 2. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very good, and the pool and sun loungers were a nice touch.
The decking gave us terrible splinters and the layout of the garden didn't provide a view. However, if we went to the unused area just above, we were able to enjoy lovely sunsets and views of the mountain.

We recently stayed at Aan De Heuvel Self-Catering Cottages for a weekend getaway. The cottage was perfect for our needs, with two spacious bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The cottage also had air conditioning, which was a lifesaver during the hot weather. We loved the private braai area and splash pool, perfect for relaxing and enjoying some downtime. , the option to use the bigger pool at the main guesthouse was a hit with the kids. The facilities were top-notch, and the location allowed for easy access to museums, shops, and restaurants in the area. The WiFi was excellent, keeping us connected throughout our stay. We highly recommend a stay at this lovely cottage.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The villa at Aan De Heuvel Self-Catering Cottages was really cozy and comfortable. We loved the balcony, perfect for sipping coffee and enjoying the amazing view of Swellendam. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy for us to cook our own meals. And having an electric kettle was a nice touch for making a quick cup of tea. As a small family, we felt right at home in this lovely place.
The only thing we didn't love was the size of the balcony. It was a bit smaller than we expected, but hey, that's just our opinion.

They loved the swings, climbing frame, and slides. It kept them entertained for hours! The cottage itself was spacious and clean, providing ample room for our large family. Great value for money!
My kids wished there was a larger selection of board games available.

The location of this self-catering cottage was absolutely perfect! It provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, while still being easily accessible to all the areas we wanted to see. The cleanliness of the cottage was outstanding, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like having milk and water in the fridge, an extra black bag for rubbish, and a comprehensive file of information on the surrounding area. The young lady at reception was incredibly cheerful and a pleasure to deal with. The house itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a private swimming pool and braai area. The maintenance team was quick to address any issues, and even provided us with a complimentary lunch and a new cooking plate when the plugs and stove tripped. The modern accommodation, combined with the fantastic location, made our stay even more enjoyable. As adventure enthusiasts, we were thrilled to discover that the cottage was only about a kilometer away from the start of our cycle race. The quiet and private surroundings, along with the well-equipped amenities, made our stay incredibly enjoyable. The beds were comfortable, the linen and towels were of high quality, and we even received complimentary rusks, tea, coffee. The air conditioning in each bedroom was a total bliss! The braai area with complimentary wood was a nice touch, and we highly recommend Aan De Heuvel for anyone looking for a mind-blowing experience in and around.

We had a fantastic stay here. The accommodation was great and met all our needs. The beds were very comfortable, and we really appreciated having air conditioning, especially since the weather was very hot. We also enjoyed the private braai area and splash pool. It was a bonus for the kids to have the option of using the bigger pool at the main guesthouse. The location was lovely, just a short 5-minute walk from the main streets, giving us easy access to wonderful restaurants and shops. Additionally, it was a short drive to Bontebok national park and other walking areas.
Don't have any issues at all.

Great location, close to restaurants and shops, with easy access to national parks and walking areas. The cottages offer excellent privacy, with each room having its own bathroom. We loved having our own splash pool, especially after a hot day of activities. The interior decor was of high quality, and the free wifi and DSTV channels were a bonus. a fantastic place to stay with all the perks.
The kitchen could have had more basic equipment, such as cooking oil and additional utensils. The seating in the lounge was quite hard and uncomfortable, and the property could use some investment in decoration and equipment.
